My Narrating Debut

On Saturday I had the privilege of narrating a collection of my poetry and poetic prose, namely "The Horse, The Hound & The Hag", at the Fire Horse Peace Festival fundraiser in aid of Ninovan horse rescue on Faial.

My heartfelt thanks to the organisers, Friends of Ninovan, for inviting me and for trusting me with a place at this special event.

It was an intimate experience with a wonderfully attentive audience who laughed in all the right places, sat in thoughtful silence for the more tender pieces, and applauded with such generosity. Add to that, I've received fabulous feedback. As a writer, there really isn't much more you could ask for.

And, as a little personal victory, fibromyalgia behaved itself long enough to let me enjoy the moment.

I came home, exhausted, yet with a warm heart.

Thank you to everyone who listened, supported the event and reminded me that words really do have the power to connect us.

Here's to many more stories shared.
