Wanda Goes Wave Watching

Wanda the Wheelie Walker and I went wandering,
Along the red stone track, wave watching.
The desert-like landscape, all barren and bare,
Made quite a spectacular backdrop to stare.
The ocean rolled endlessly, blue and wide,
While Wanda and I took it all in our stride.
Well... her stride were wheels, mine were feet,
But together we made a team, quite neat.
We stopped for a while, to contemplate,
To watch the Atlantic performing, we wait.
The waves crashed and tumbled, then came back again,
As if Mother Nature was practising zen.
I gazed at the ocean. Wanda gazed too.
Though frankly, I think she was watching the view,
For signs of adventure, a track to explore,
A promising puddle... perhaps something more.
She gave me a nudge. Well, perhaps it was me
Who nudged her towards the vast open sea.
Either way, we agreed, as companions will do,
There was nowhere else we would rather go to.
So there we sat, in our windswept domain,
Contemplating the ocean, the landscape,
terrain.
No schedules, no rushing, no places to be,
Just Wanda, the waves, and the wide open sea.
